Biography
With a career trajectory of over 20 years, Analee McClellan was recognized as the 2023 Appraiser of the Year by the American Society of Appraisers (ASA). Her background and experience meet the IRS requirements for a Qualified Appraiser, and her reports meet their requirements for Qualified Appraisals.
Ms. McClellan has held various membership and executive positions within the American Society of Appraisers (ASA), including President of the Los Angeles Chapter, as well as various positions on the International Personal Property Committee (PPC), including International Chair, Education Chair, and member of the PPC Board of Examiners. She is currently an instructor of the ASA Principles of Valuation (POV) education program.
In addition to keeping up with connoisseurship, valuation theory, methodology, and national and international laws and regulations, Ms. McClellan has completed a required ASA course to prepare for an Appraisal Review and Management – Personal Property (ARM) designation.
Her broad client and appraisal experience includes assignments for insurance coverage and claims of loss (including being designated as an expert witness and testifying in court), estate and trust valuation matters, charitable contributions, dissolution of marriage, and other wealth management assignments.
Ms. McClellan is also an expert in the standard of care and typical practice for appraisers, including compliance with the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) and IRS requirements.
Ms. McClellan’s competency, knowledge and integrity are recognized and respected in the profession, and she has broad appraisal expertise in antiques, decorative arts and residential contents. Her education and experience exceed the standards set by the Appraisal Foundation’s Appraiser Qualifications Board (AQB).
Ms. McClellan works on complex projects with competent specialists in other fields who remain current in their areas of expertise.
