Accessibility Statement for the Acanthus Appraisals Website
At Acanthus Appraisals and Consultation Services, LLC we are committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continuously improving the user experience for all visitors to acanthusappraisals.com (“the Site”) and our application of the relevant accessibility standards.
Measures to Support Accessibility
We have endeavored to make the Site accessible to the best of our knowledge by:
- Making the language as clear as possible.
- Using appropriate typography and fonts, making sure font resizing can be applied, and using underlined text only for links.
- Providing concise alternative text to images, as well as additional HTML attributes such as logical heading and content structure, aria labels and specific code snippets to improve accessibility.
- Checking the Site with several web accessibility evaluation tools listed on the W3C Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) website.
- Performing manual checks to make sure all links, buttons and forms are accessible with a keyboard.
Conformance Status
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) define requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA. The Site is partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 Level AA. Partially conformant means that some of our content does not fully conform to the accessibility standard.
Our goal is to reach full WCAG 2.2 Level AA conformance, for which we will continue to stay informed about new developments from the W3C WAI, improve the accessibility of the Site, and update this document accordingly.
Limitations and Alternatives
Despite our best efforts to ensure the accessibility of the Site, there may be some limitations with regard to the Site’s navigation. Some of the page builder’s native widgets may not have the correct attributes for accessibility.
An example of this is the Frequently Asked Questions toggle on the Resources page, where tab index values are assigned automatically, making it necessary to use the arrow keys to navigate from question to question, instead of only the tab key.

We welcome your feedback on the accessibility of the Site. Please let us know if you encounter accessibility barriers on the site by:
